Good luck!

The LCCB enjoyed another fantastic summer in Livingston County playing for enthusiastic crowds.  We appreciate all of you who came out to support the arts in our community, clapping along to your favorite marches and cheering us on from your lawn chairs.  It is truly a pleasure to play for such appreciative audiences.  Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.

If you or your organization are interested in having the LCCB play at your next event, please send us an email (livingstoncountyconcertband@gmail.com) and Mark Klett, our facilities officer, will get back with you.

The summer session for 2010 has begun.  Rehearsals started on a rather balmy Tuesday evening in June, and the ensemble eagerly dug into the new music.  Show tunes, jazz favorites, marches, and pop tunes will fill the summer evening air each Tuesday evening at the Brighton Mill Pond.  Bring a lawn chair and a friend to enjoy some family entertainment!

    Looking forward!

The band is excited to announce that it will commission a piece written especially for our ensemble in order to enhance the musical landscape and add to the repertoire of wind bands.  Please consider a monetary donation (see ”Donate” link on this page) or donating your VG’s receipts to help us reach this goal.  We have a donation box at every rehearsal and concert.  Also, in our effort to raise funds for this endeavor the band will be compiling and selling a cookbook of favorite band member recipes.  Check back for details about when the cookbook will be available.

The LCCB is excited to begin another summer season at the Brighton Gazebo.  With the mill pond shimmering behind us and ice cream melting in the hands of children who have stopped by to listen, the LCCB is bringing music to Livingston County during the hazy days of summer.  From Sousa to showtunes, the band entertains audiences of all ages.  Bring  your lawn chair or blanket and join us Tuesday evenings at 7pm.  See the Calendar page for details.
